>Sail around the world like modern day pirates

This idea interests me greatly because my life is shit and I might as well become a sailor but If I did chip in what are the chances of this actually happening

Like how would we fund our journeys
And how would we split the ownership of the boat

Operating a ship is incredibly expensive, not to mention really difficult if you don't know what you're doing.

Also, the sea is not cozy. The sea is cruel and evil. The sea wants to kill you.

Yes, I've heard that after a ship is 5 years old, it costs 20% of the total cost of the ship every year just in maintenance.

What law? International waters, motherfucker! The captain's word is law.

I think being out on the high seas with huge waves would be very exciting! And there will also be times with no big waves that will be quite comfy. The sea is just better

Smuggling bails of cocaine from Colombia to Florida

If 200 robots chipped in 6000 dollars each we could have a floating casino

Fuel for sail boats is expensive as fuck.

That's still a lot and this whole thing would be a shit ton more expensive and dangerous than you all think. You need to buy the boat, maintain the shit out of it, buy fuel for it, stock up on food and whatever, and then you have to hope you don't drown in a storm or get raped by Somalians.

We would need a business of some kind to earn revenue, as operating these boats are very expensive.

There's an old saying that I don't remember for shit: Don't buy a boat, get a friend with a boat. What it means, basically, is that boats are a pain in the ass to maintain and not nearly as valuable after you own them than new, but way more expensive than cars.

That kind of applies to all luxury things, you just have to have people in your life to provide them to you when it's convenient, without the silly upkeep related to it.

That's how you can live a rich lifestyle without actually being rich, only upper middle class. Get one thing that rich people have, and share it with them, and they'll share theirs with you. You could just be a pimp or a drug dealer for similar effect.

A saying I heard was: The two best days of a boat owners life are the day he bought his boat and the day he sold it.
>>
could just buy a decent sized boat with enough room to feel comfy, get a decent internet connection somehow, and just live life sailing back and forth between various parts of europe and asia? how expensive would that be and is it possible to avoid big open waters and bad areas doing that?

Dock fees are more than it would cost you to live in a similar size or bigger apartment.
