If nothing else, I think a lot of people here would be happier if they just admitted they aren't willing to put in the effort it would take to make themselves attractive to anyone they'd have any interest whatsoever in dating (which would be a huge amount of effort, but it doesn't make that statement any less true). But the people who feel the need to tell everyone about it are like those people who never shut up about meditating: Glad it's helping you, but no one cares and we're definitely not impressed by your commitment to doing nothing.

I dabbled in Magic The Gathering for a while, I was never much good at it.
I found too much of the game was luck based and whenever I got a rare or expensive card added to my deck, I wouldn't be lucky enough to draw it.

I lost any serious interest in 3DPD five years ago, but it wasn't out of rebellion against society or to make any kind of point. I just realized I didn't care about dating and could get all the warm feelings I needed from my favorite anime character. It's worked fine and I don't hate people who call themselves MGTOW, but it's annoying being associated with them because of my abstinence and having idiots assume I'm some angry horny teen who thinks he can change society when I say I don't want a girlfriend. It's more out of apathy than anything.
