Someone I went to high school with married a chick with 2 daughters. I don't know if their biological dad was actually a deadbeat but he used to bitch about their dad all the time. Their solution was to move out of state with the kids, now I haven't heard him bitch about their dad once.
I think people refuse to date people with kids solely because that are kinda shitty. my parents got divorced right after I was born and my mom got re-married when I was 5. I consider my step dad my dad because he was there, he was the one who raised me, and he's the one who gave a shit about me and didn't run off.
