I watched westerns with my Grandpa all the time. He owned a farm and I went around with my pellet gun killing things with the two farm border collies. I killled a turtle once and they made me walk to the creek and throw it in as punishment. I felt sorry for it afterwards. I didn't feel bad for the snakes or birds though.
I thought the kids that I grew up with in the suburbs were pussies because I lived like Huck Finn every summer. Growing up on westerns also made me really individualistic and prideful.

I watched cartoons a lot, but even then mostly male ones. Before leaving Uni I started watching the new MLP. That's probably the only "feminine" thing I've done.
Aside from the cringeworthy fanbase surrounding it, I still genuinely like the show. Something about a group of friends going around and doing stuff always was appealing. This time they just ended up being ponies.
