Am 24, few months to 25. Because of the balding I'm forced to always wear a medium-length fringe combed forward to hide it. I'm on dutasteride so further balding is a non-issue.

Firstly, my heart goes out to you because that really sucks. As far as being worth it to drop 5k, that depends on your financial situation. Personally, I would probably do it because me bald is just....it's something no one should ever have to see. But hey, maybe you can wear it well, so consider that.
If you're tall and financial stable, go for it. If not, I'd hold off.
