Pretty much this but in a smarter way. Find some nice fucking place that is easy to maintain,get enough canned food for the next 30 years. Create a dank garden where i grow weed and all other drugs i can lay my hands on (and some vegetables). Have fun the first 2 years when infrastructure is somewhat usable,while getting horribly addicted to all kinds of meds and drugs i loot from Pharmacies, police stations etc. It will end with me going completly insane and killing myself or dying in horrible withdrawal after the drugs go Bad and i am not able to reproduce them.
I'd probably do lots of drugs and alcohol.

Man,I sort of dream of this. My first stops would be an automall in LA for some nice supercar. Then proceed to the gun shops to store some weapons and ammo to fend off any animals. Afterwards head to the grocery stores,hospitals and rite-aids for food,drugs,medicine,etc. I would definitely to some really fucked up shit I won't speak of. Go tame me some sort of exotic animal for a companion. I would definitely travel to all the places feds and police don't allow. It would be awesome for a while. I just think you would not be able too see most of the interesting things. Big vault doors etc. i am too much of a sperg for simple crafting. I would need forever to get a generator running. The most depressing part is : All of us here would die due to some minor flesh wound/sickness. Even if you are a medical professional its near impossible to treat yourself. Stephen King shows that pretty good in the stand. 99% of humanity dies due to some Virus. After that there is a second wave of deaths. A junkie shooting up uncut heroin and immideatly oding, some dude cutting himself on a rusty nail, the wound gets infected the tries to do surgery on himself and bleeds to death etc.
Whole scenario would be better if i am able to assemble a team of 10-20 people. Not enough for restarting humanity or something but some friends, fuck meat, a Pilot, a doctor and a mechanic etc.

I would create a Monument of mankind. Something that will show that we were here for as long as possible. Something to stand for our failures but also our good sides. As the last human beeing i would be the archivar. Remind the ones that will climb the evolutionary after us of their predecessors.

It would take probably 30 minutes for me to leave home and realize i havent seen any other people. Ater coping with the initial confusion/shock. I would probably sing and dance and run around and explore places and tons of shit. I'd begin drinking and eating and going through various houses. I'd probably then find a bed to sleep on.
I would most likely wake up sometime at night filled with pure mortal fear and intense dread as the realization fully hit me. I would probably cry like a fucking baby. I'd be scared of the dark, scared to make noise or move. The sheer magnitude would hit me all at once in waves of agony. I'd slowly fall back asleep

Sobered by reality now, I would get to business while the sun is up. First checking the Internet. Then calling places, trying to contact anyone else anywhere on earth. I would print as much information as possible, on first aid, survival, electronics, agriculture,whatever. I would mostly try to get as much physical data as I could. I'm not sure if the Internet would break without maintenance, but electricity would. My first priority would be figuring out how generators work and finding out how much time I have before the lights go out for good. I would also write out an extended plan. If I slept at all, it'd probably be curled up in a corner somewhere.

By now everything would feel surreal. My sanity would be slipping. I'd find a dog companion or something. Continue studying or travel towards places of interest (vital infrastructure).

I'm not very smart. I probably wouldn't learn what I need to. Electricity would die, my sanity would slip rapidly. I'd probably be drinking heavily non-stop. In the end I'd probably die of infection or suicide or disease.
