This is a longshot but does anyone go to West Texas A&M?

This is a longshot but does anyone go to West Texas A&M?

I am just curious what the university is like.

I hear it pretty good, but I want to know more about it.

Also general Texas Panhandle thread, stop in and say hello.
>>
I've never heard of it. Sounds like a community college tier school.

For Texas I recommend: UT Austin, SMU, Rice, Texas A&M, Baylor, UT Dallas and maybe TCU.
>>
>>27321369
Too expensive.

Plus it is part of the texas AM system.

>having "reccomendations" for colleges based on states

Why do people have to act like geniuses in every topic?
>>
>>27321420
I meant the College Station school, of course. The flagship of the system.

If keeping college costs as low as possible then your local public university is your best bet and what you should go with. Or be even more Jew and CC then uni.

Personally I went CC for 2 years, had a job through junior year after I transferred and graduated no debt. I still went to my states flagship too.
>>
>>27321564
>A&M
>states flagship

don't let anything else get to their heads

>acting like a genius

Damn, I'm not lecturing him about what surgery I'll do to help ease the pain of a cock so far up his ass (something you know all too well)
>>
>>27321564
I did my time at the CC and now I am looking to move on,

The out of state tuition for WTAM is only 30 more per unit.
>>
>>27321660
Where do you live? Why would you complain about costs but mention you're paying out of state?

Most states have a decent university
>>
>>27321717
I live in Utah, but it isn't worth it to go there.

UofU is fine, but SLC sucks

Utah State is fine, but boring.

SUU is in the middle of nowhere.

I don't do private unis.

it sucks. went there for one semester and got tired of living in canyon. theres nothing but jack shit to do over there. he gym is really nice though.

If you get the chance, go to UT at austin.
>>
>>27321916
The only flaw is that it is boring?

Is it safe and friendly though?
>>
>>27321749
Go for it then. I don't see the appeal in WTAMU besides out of state tuition almost nonexistent

I see U of Utah as a really good school, though. Even Utah State is good.

I said the college station campus, calling it the flagship of the Texas A&M system, which is fact. I even used the word system in the sentence after that.

Then I even skipped a space to indicate a change in topic

Then in my last sentence I said I went to my states flagship. I never said what state I live in or what school it is.

Just fuck my shit up, partner?

Sorry you are unable to differentiate between topics appropriately and assume starting a new pragraph magically means starting a new topic while continuing on about the same topic.

Decent school, lad. I fucked a qt from that school in the back of a station wagon from the 80s. I had my A&M shirt on and everything. Shit was so cash, I busted on her face and left. I hope it wasn't your friend or anything, pal. SEC pussy is so much better though
>>
>>27322463
The joke's on you because I'm going to Tech for my master's in philosophy and grads from Tech actually place well in phd programs.

It's easy to place well when only 3 Tech grads have ever made it to a PhD program
>>

SEC girls are that high class shit.

I went to a party at Ole Miss and the girls are all 9-10/10s like perfect southern qt wife girls.

Not him, but philosophy majors are actually the highest paid of all liberal arts majors. It's fucking baffling I know, but still.
>>
>>27322575
Why bother getting a degree if it's in philosophy? Pretty sure my toilet paper is worth more.
>>
>>27322687
I'm going to get my phd in political science. I'm only doing this because the gubment jobs I'm interested in require phds in political science.
>>
>>27322714
I shat the bed in undergrad and spent the entire time smoking pot and fucking hippies. My gpa is too shitty to get into a phd program in political science so I'm getting a master's in a subject that's relatively easy to get a good gpa in so that I stand a better chance at getting in at a high ranked school.
>>
anyone go to university of north texas? I kind of want to transfer (university of houston here) for the audio engineering program. I realize that it isn't a "real" engineering degree (or even a "real" degree desu) but it's the only thing I can think of studying.
Also how is Denton as a town. I heard it's like fort worth but worse. Is this true?
>>
>>27322766
The easier it is to get a high GPA, the more competitive the program will be. Better start joining student organizations, pham

>>
>>27322818
Actually, did some research on median stats. Between 45-85k usually. Reason is, these people usually ascend to management positions or go onto grad school
>>
>>27322795
Denton near the campus is pretty much mini-Austin. The rest of it is kind of shit though.

UNT is a great school for basically anything A/V related.
>>
>>27321991
There History department is okay.
>>27321369
Any UTD people here?
>>
>>27322837
It's normie central like every other big school. There aren't any decent student organizations or really any youth culture at all because there are too many fucking people for all the interesting non-normies to find each other. A lot of the professors are really young and inexperienced or are so old that they just don't give a fuck.
Also parking is an absolute nightmare.
would not recommend

the campus is pretty though
>>
>>27322982
I think you would like UNT.
>>
>>27323133
Neat. I have been excited about the idea of transferring there and this made it slightly more likely that I will actually go through with it.
also tell me about UNT in general, the people, profs, etc
>>
>>27323192
There's a few really notable alumni so there is some pride there.
Professors are focused and care about the students success. I'm pretty convinced it's a direct result of athletics being an afterthought at the university.

There's a lot of diversity in the student-base. Normies, robots, everything.

And there's a student org for everything. There's even a squirrel watching club, not even joking, you see them picking up squirrels and shit all the time.
>>
>>27323244
Hows the parking at UNT?

Not that guy but probably gonna end up in UH and I don't know that I'm gonna like it
>>
>>27323380
It's okay. Seems pretty average.
>>
I went to a high school in the panhandle really close to Canyon in which over 50% of the people attending college from my class attended WTAMU.

It has an extremely homogeneous student body from what I've seen, it's basically just sheltered, middle-class, alcoholic hicks who chose the closest, highest acceptance rate school.

If you're serious about whatever you're wanting to study and are not willing to live in the middle of fucking nowhere with a bunch of mega-normies, it's probably a bad idea.
>>
>>27321749
I went to UofU for a while. Unless you're a snowboard Chad you're fucked living on campus. It's a commuter school too, so no sense of community or college town feel.

I regret all of my decisions in life.

If you're still here, I live in Amarillo, and my gf goes to WTAMU. She likes it fine and it's cheap, but we agree that the Texas Panhandle sucks ass.

There's a lot of beef processing here, so it literally stinks. Also it's super conservative redneck Jesus land, though there is a super druggy alternative scene.
