Was just invited by an old friend from HS to come to his birthday party in a month (literally from out of nowhere, we haven't talked in like 3 years). I figured it'd be good to at least TRY to stop being a pathetic piece of shit, so I said yes.
I'm 20 and NEVER had a night-out. I'm fucking scared shitless. What am I in for and what should I look out for? Help a scared robot out.
Try to find people playing games; games are easy to participate in even if you don't know anyone playing them. If there is alcohol, fucking drink it; don't get retarded drunk but get buzzed enough that you find it easier to talk to people. If you see people you know/knew, talk to them - one on one tends to be easier - ask about what they've been up to, what they do, etc.

Before I was 21 I used to make up bullshit excuses about why I didn't like alcohol because I was afraid of getting in trouble or humiliated or completely losing my mind. I actually thought that you lose control of your actions and then just woke up to horrible things you did.
Surely you can just drink 2-3 beers and ride the buzz?
