What kind did you try on? Did you try on any nike air force ones? Or air max? Roshes look pretty comfy too but personally I prefer sneakers, like those vans, nike janoskis or converse. I kind of stand around all day too and I feel like the janoskis are better since the soles are like really thick and the inside is pretty soft on your heels. Vans are the same but the inside sole is pretty rigid, might hurt your heels from walking/standing all day. Can't say for other types of shoes.
