No. The few blacks in Germany were treated far better than they were in America at the time. That said, I imagine their respect of black minorities came down to naivety. There were only something like ~300 blacks in Germany at the time, so naturally they were treated as something of a novelty. I would imagine if they had a similar black population to America, it would be straight to gas chambers.
