First: FYI according to the US Census, Middle Eastern is white. If by white, you mean guys of European origin, then yes, I love and prefer men of European origin. I want to be a devoted wife and mother to a man, and I most likely will end up with a European man.
Why?
Firstly, I am now Protestant Christian and not very many Middle Eastern men are Protestant, they are either Muslim or Orthodox.
Second, middle eastern culture is very mean and abrasive towards women. In Western culture, a woman marries her husband but gets to keep her identity and is not expected to blindly submit to her husband. If a woman chooses (or has to) to work, she most likely will have her husband help with cooking and housework and child rearing.
In middle eastern culture, your identity as an individual is gone. You don't become one with your husband and submit to him as an equal in the Biblical sense; you subject to your husband and are beneath him.
Thirdly, middle eastern men don't respect women like me. I understand my parent's language but I can't speak it. I don't celebrate the holidays because I am Protestant now and keep the Bible holidays only and nothing else. I don't wear a head scarf. I am considered trash by most middle eastern men and their mothers, as I am too westernized.
Lastly, in middle eastern culture you can be either friends with your mother in law or she can hate you and ruin your life. Since I already know most middle eastern mothers don't like my western-ness, I don't have high chances of being close to my MIL if she is middle eastern, and I want a happy relationship like Ruth and Naomi.
