SJWs are sort of a youth culture of its own.
They got a sense of dress, a sense of music and a range of things they believe about themselves, like that they are better than the mainstream, that the other people are stunted or wrong and detestable etc. It's less aesthetically defined but it really is a subculture.

I used to hate emos because they would project this image of insecurity, loneliness and feels and all that stuff yet they were always in packs, sitting in the grass on a field or some shit, how mny times I went to the City and saw gangs of emos sitting in the sun.
And then there was me, literally everything an emo was supposed to represent but I wasn't one of them.
It was basically a subculture for losers to get laid, meet with other losers I guess.
I was just a little bit to old and friendless for that to happen though, the emo's became a thing when I finished school.

Anon, that's what every subculture is. They just revolve around different things, but any group of people will have the same dynamics, assigned status, a group Chad, a group loser, outcasts, and eventually girls who come for the attention and quickly attach themselves to the local chad.
The only exception are things so autistic they literally only appeal to completely dedicated weirdos.
