What's even the point in socializing? It's mentally exhausting, a burden on resources, and a waste of time. What does loneliness even feel like? People describe it as some awful state of existence but I've yet to have even felt it. Why can't normies grasp that some people genuinely prefer solitude?
I've been suspecting that I'm schizoaffective for roughly 6 months now. I'm afraid of getting it officially diagnosed because it would add to my cocktail of other mental issues.

AvPD with schizoid features here. I can socialize but part of me is elsewhere and it's a superficial exercise. Only get to reconnect with the rest of me when I don't have to worry about handling other people. The older I get the more adept I have to be at it to survive, though, and the further the part of me that feels deeply slips away from me.

Where did I say that everyone needed to behave like me? I genuinely prefer being by myself. I don't have any interest in sharing my free time with other people. It's just burdening to me. I lose money, time, and focus that I could otherwise spend on my own hobbies and interests. I've had friends in the past with common interests and it was still exhausting to me. Heroin will end up doing just that, I know from experience. Can't really help you because I'm in a similar position. I do have my passions but they're not financially stable. If I have any advice- do what you can tolerate.
I've got no idea what I am. The thought of socialising makes me very anxious, but on the other hand I don't have a strong desire to socialise anyway. I'd like some close friends but the most communication is simultaneously and unintersting and stressful, so it's hard to break through the initial barriers.

How do I maintain a gf when I literally dislike socializing and going out?
Everyone else seems to enjoy socializing and are drawn to it, while I am the opposite. All girls seem to NEED socializing while I honestly couldn't stand being around another person that long or talking to them.
