If someone offered you $1million dollars or go back to the past with your current memories which one would you take?
>>
The past because I could make infinitely more than 1 million and unscrew things up
>>
can i go back to the past with no memories instead please
>>
>>27300136
Past all the way, I literally fantasize about this most days.
>>
>>27300158
Hypothetically wouldn't history just repeat itself then?
>>
>>27300156
ill go to the past and win the lottery faggot. but if you dont like that ill take the million because i haven't made a mistake that bad.
>>

Million dollars. Would solve most of my problems, specifically the one about me not having a million dollars,

Either way I would want to kill myself. Who gives a shit?

I may actually get laid and learn to be a social being so the choice is obviously the money. Jk. I would be a cool kid. I'd also invest in Google and apple and btc

the past, because it'd be better for my emotional growth and if I really wanted money I could just invest in apple or whatever

>>27300177
right, until anon got to this moment when he'd re-choose to go back to the past and the whole thing would start up again

>>27300212
Good point. If the past thing was less than 7 years, I'd choose the money

How far back into the past?

I'd pretty much like to start at the beginning of high school. If I can't go back at least that far, then I'll just take the money.

Go back in time. I could work out earlier and not be so fucking socially retarded. My grades would improve. And I'd get to relive the best time in a person's life the right way and not as an outcast.

I don't need money. I am fine with having enough just to survive.

That depends on how far into the past I can go. Say, 1999 and I'd take it. 2011, possibly. Any sooner and I'd need time to look up sporting outcomes to bet on, what to invest in and lotto numbers to pick. I might do this anyway further in the past just because. My limit here is the start of 2015.

Too soon into the past (a day, a month, etc.) or if I'm restricted in my actions in my second run of life and I'll turn the offer down and take the $1 mil.

>>27300205
I could easily burn a million dollars trying to maintain an 850CSi.
>>
>>27300212
You can always just keep going back to the past every time you are offered it until you make over 1 million. Worst thing that happens is that you just take the 1 million after a few attempts.

>1million

Sure I would do a few things a bit differently, but in this question, we are offered money, so I would just live my life pretty similarily untill I would get money out of bitcoins.
>>
>>27301613
What if you went into the past, played your cards right and amassed wealth but still kept on a path that would lead you to the $1 mil just so you could take it after succeeding in your second run?

You are automatically guaranteed to be rich if you go back in time with your current memories.

>Bet on sports
>Play lottery
>Invest in things you know will be successful
>Mine bitcoins
>Buy gold
>Buy cars that you know will raise in value

If you go back in time just 10 years from now you will be a billionaire by the time you reach this point.
>>
>>27303070
if that was actually true then why don't more people do it? It cant be that easy
>>
>>27300177

It would unless quantum randomness is a real thing that somehow affects matter on a macroscopic scale.

In which case that guy could find himself in a completely different world.

This senpai. I'd probably date that chick that wasn't perfect back in the day instead of the one I thought was but turned out to be a pain in the ass. Then just win one of the bigger lotteries once I turn 18 and can buy a ticket. Buy up big on bitcoins and re-sell later. It'd be easy as shit.

I would choose past with current knowledge, it would fix some things but it also means I have to go through some painful moments that I really don't want to experience again.

So I choose the million, I wouldn't do anything outrageous with it, give some to my parents who deserve it a bit more and I might get my motorcycle license and buy a cheap motorcycle with it.
The money gives me a whole lot of freedom that I currently do not have.

I might actually buy a plot of land and build a small house on it, that has always been my dream.
And then live a simple life there, doing some gardening and stuff like that without having to worry about all the first-world bullshit.
>>
>>27300136
$1mill is like infinite money where I live and I always forget everything fast so I take the money.
>>
>>27303658

>quantum randomness is a real thing that somehow affects matter on a macroscopic scale
Then going back in time with your current memories would mean you wouldn't be able to predict future, but still all the knowledge and experiences you've gained as you matured would be useful. You wouldn't be able to predict exact events with dates and details, or numbers for lottery games or sport events. But going back in time to let's say when you were 9 years old, with your current knowledge of programming would make you some kind of prodigy. You still could predict the trends for the internet, social media, apps, and be ahead of the competition.
>>
>>27303988
ah the only problem is
you going back with different knowledge would result in you moving and interacting with things differently

moving 1 atom of air in Australia might affect the lottery in america
>>
>>27300136
The latter, I was doing pretty good for someone without a father until I gave up. If I didn't give up I would probably have had a nice gf, success, etc. which I have never had.
>>
>>27300136
Memories. Bitcoin here I come. I could have made over $80M with my humble $5k savings if I bought around the mid-2010 rise that put it on the map and sold at the end-2013 peak of $1.2k each.
>>
>>27300136
If I get to choose how far back into the past and things like lottery numbers are not subject to Randomness but instead will be the exact same outcome they were in the past experienced by me, I'd go back 3 or 4 days and buy a winning lottery ticket so I'll instead have net over 15 million euro instead.

If not, I'll take the 1mil any day. Things are finally working out for me besides finances, going back in time now would mean trying to do the exact same things I did before and hope I'll meet the exact same people with the same timing and whatnot, or I may end up at a crappier spot that I am now. I would've taken a trip to the past right away some years ago, but not anymore.
>>
>>27300136
Do i have time to prepare?
If yes memorize all the lotto numbers and go back to the past.
If not id still do it
