Unsuccessful people come up with many ideas that they never do anything with. They tend to value the idea itself, and keep it secret, so no one "steals" it.
Successful people have one idea, and follow it with iron will. They will gladly tell people what they are trying to do, in order to build a team to accomplish their vision.

I stayed in college. $30 /hr with benefits. No student debt either. My people skills suck but are getting better (my company pays for me to increase my speaking skills.)
