Other japanbot here. Not near Tokyo(Okinawa actually) but it gets fucking terrifying going out sometimes. Social anxiety mixed with only knowing small bits of the language makes living here a nightmare, and it's fairly Americanized here. I can't imagine mainland Japan where they nip even harder there.

Luckily it's impossible to get lost on an island that you can get across in 3 hours. Trying to adjust for the customs and traditions and not be offensive gets stressful. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place and seeing the history and culture is cool, but I'm here for work for another 2 years wishing it was just a month long stay.

I heard about a program for masters and doctors students. Japanese government covers education fees and gives scholarship for foreign students who study in japanese universities. Is it a good idea to try to get into Japan by this program? I live in a third world country where american minimal wage would be considered very good even if you live in a capital, so moving into a better country is the only way I cpuld find a decent living.

How bought start by having a goal to get out? It seems like you enjoy taking pictures, heck, you even did it (unless you lied).
Here is a simple goal in mind for you: Take a picture outside at least once per day that means something to you or something interesting. Just take a picture of something you like, it can be the sky ffs, its up to you.
Just take a picture a day for 365 days (1 year) and compile them in a folder or print em out and put em in a photo collection book. Then you can see em from the beginning til the end of your journey and you can look back and enjoy that time again.
Its not that hard.
