I met a friend off of here. When my mom asked where I met them I explained what 4chan was, how there were a bunch of different boards for various interests and topics, how the nature and the quality of the posters varies dramatically from board to board ("Some boards have racists and pedophiles, but others are just people discussing movies, games, and hobbies they like"), then I lied and said I met my friend on /soc/.
