Superman was literally a god at one point. In the beginning, he was nothing more than an augmented human with super strength and super speed and would've easily lost to Goku.
But, because writers can interpret Supes' powers however they'd like, he can pretty much asspull powers whenever he wants.
Goku loses by default because Superman has several different iterations, whereas Goku has relatively easy to follow levels of power.

Assuming Superman has every ability he's ever shown in the comics and assuming Goku has every ability he's shown in the manga and anime filler then Superman would curbstomp Goku. Goku might be really powerful but that's all he has. Superman is much more versatile and indestructible on top of it. Goku got KO'd by a basic laser gun. Whether his guard was down or not, he's supposed to be a god. That would NEVER happen to Superman, NEVER. Goku also can't breathe in space, Goku is only a god in pure strength and nothing else.

Both goku and vegeta had planet busting capabilities in the saiyan saga when power levels still were measured. The generally accepted levels are goku - 9000 vegeta 18000.
Then in the namek saga, ssj goku spiked to around 150,000,000 (this varies, since the numbers immediately got retarded once frieza hit 3rd form). From then on, it's purely speculation. His base levels seem to be all over the place and there's TONS of unofficial ssj forms (ascended saiyan in the cell saga, to name one, is between ssj and ssj2). ssj3 goku's power level could literally be anything, but the smallest speculation I've seen is 10 billion. Now compare this to vegeta's 18,000 power level that could destroy planets.
And to top it off, the new series: Dragon Ball Super just took a fat shit on everything else. Ssj3 goku was nearly killed by a tap from the God of Destruction, Beerus. Then he got a new form with a retardedly huge multiplier and was able to fight somewhat even with Beerus. AND THEN he trained for 3 years with a supergod that ended up putting his base power at a level way higher than he was in ssj3 at the beginning of the new series. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, he gets a brand new form which is supposed to be even stronger than the last.
So, no. It's really not easy to keep track of because he just gets random power ups that put him orders of magnitude higher than where he used to be. Also in Super, his punches nearly destroy the universe. So basically, superman will 100% get cucked by goku.
