Get out newfriend.
I just watched this last night and I found it to be comfy in a strange way
>>27263752
Nostalghia and Stalker are both pretty good Tarkovsky flicks, but they won't appeal to everyone cause they're slowly paced and depressing
>>27263752
Gone Girl is essential Robotcore. Going into why delves into spoilers so just watch it if you haven't yet.
It touches onuntrustworthy roasties and sistercest.
>>27265440
more likely because they're overrated shit. by chance, you named precisely the 2 worst offenders
>>27263752
Ive watched Malcolm in the Middle 7 times start to finish in 5 years. Its not a movie, but I'd suggest it.
Films?
No movies, flicks, joints, cinema, or kino?
Alright then, here:
Taxi Driver - I personally find it to be comfy because I can resonate with the feelings of melancholy and ennui being expressed by the main character, and the soundtrack and cinematography are absolutely beautiful. There's nothing comfier than the sight of the neon flooded big city.
Casino - This one's a given, mob movies are always comfy as fuck. Long too, great for watching on a rainy day.
All About Lily Chou Chou - There's something about the ost and the general feel of the film which eases my constant rage and sadness. It makes me feel at peace.
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya - Essential comfycore. Many beautiful scenes and hearing Gymnopedie no. 1 makes me feel a hint of sadness along with a feeling of peace similar to that I feel while listening to the music in All About Lily Chou Chou.

Sitcoms are depressing as all fuck. They make me want to kill myself, not feel comfy.
Oldboytfw I live like that but it's not a prison
>>27265530
I don't see why popularity should affect something's entertainment value. I'm not trying to be an elitist. I didn't know they were overrated though. I grew up being forced to watch stuff like that
>>27265692
>it's not a prison
Oh how wrong you are.
>>27265675
>sitcoms
It reminds me of my childhood sort of, so its comfy to me. And once youve watched a show enough you've memorized every episode it is weirdly therapeutic.
>>27265755
They remind me of my childhood too. That's WHY they are depressing.
>>27265812
understandable in that case.
>>27265747
You're right I haven't tried to go outside in a long time. But don't try to scare me fampai. It's not gonna work.
>>27265434
i remember that movie
it's a good movie
>>27265694
>defends his shit taste respectively, no replies
sperg more, robots
>>27265596
Why only 7 times? That's like 400 hours total.
>>27263752
I have mannerisms like moot.
I think it stems from my dad not being around a lot when I was growing up. He was always working, leaving me to pick up things from my mother and sister.
It's a wonder I didn't turn out gay.
>>27265427

Any time I need instant comfy I start up Polar Bear Cafe from the start. Nothing surpasses it for me.
Try ghost in the shell original movie first the sub then the dub.
Agree on taxi driver
City of god
Falling down
God bless America
Away from her
>>27265056
You know what I like in addition to those? Documentary-style biographical films of musicians. Rockumentaries too.
>>27265516
David Fincher's style is definitely present in this film. Plays a lot like Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which I enjoyed immensely (but I understand that a lot of people prefer the Swedish version).
>>27267884
>baiting this hard
get out hiroshima, we will never forget.
>>27268054
Extremely comforting. I wish life were as carefree as PBC.
>the Chritsmas episode is so comfy I don't know where to begin
