I had a cold sore but then i did all of this....
I got a cold sore for the first time ever at 28 years old a week and a half ago, I did the whole abreva thing and would pick at the scabs.... I read it was best to pop the ulcers to get the virus out and sterilize it. I did not have a needle so I popped a few sores like a pimple and washed it with hand sanitizer. I also had some odd ingrown hairs there and could not shave so I took a tweezer and pulled out about 10 of them in the area.
I woke the next day with a very swollen lip as can be seen in the following photo below.
The area where the cold sore was after tweezing the hairs out was fully numb for 30 hours like it has had a novocaine shot feeling to it all day long. A small squishy like cyst would also appear behind the aggrevated cold sore but it has pretty much gone away.
I also would later on take a needle and pop the little white ulcers to drain it so it would dry out but it would only spread with new smaller sores so I stopped messing with it all together.
If so do i Need to go get meds?
I am 5 years celibate including no kissing so I am guessing I got this touching my face after shaking hands since I work as a journalist. It was very cold the day before this popped up and my lips typically chap in cold weather, the next morning I had that tingling feeling where the sore would appear and my lips were dry.
I also take 40mg ritalin and 20mg Lexapro daily which may have been a factor here.
I am going on nearly 25 days with this now.

Also I should add: Cats can get folliculitis too. So if you get these rashes after direct contact, you cat needs to get treated at the same time too.
I didnt ask how ugly it was, I asked what does it look like in terms of disease.
One thing.... I got this just over 24 hours after shaving and I did not know you had to shave down, I would always just shave however because I got the badass gillette razor.
Never have had a problem before shaving like this, but i also have never had a cold sore.

Actually if you have herpes cold sores you probably got them from your parents at a very young age. Don't feel too bad this happens to a lot of people including one of my best friends who contracted her oral herpes from her parents before she was even 7.

In regards to autism, I never knew that shaving upwards is bad and I was told shaving up prob caused this, I litteraly got it 24 hours after shaving upwards.
