i have been on all but 3 antipsychotics that again help briefly but always end up doing nothing even after massive dosage increases (20mg to 80mg of a strong ap for example)
mood stabilizers like lithium provide similar outcomes.
my current psychiatrist put me back on that same strong ap i mentioned despite telling him it stopped working and won't see or communicate with me for 2 months because lol america.
i am of the opinion that the only option for me right now is ECT (shock your brain in specific places) or TMS (put strong magnets on specific parts of your brain for 6 weeks or more) because they tend to result in a "reset" of your brain if you will.
my psych thinks that's bullshit and wants to keep me on pills. i am convinced he hates me because i know too much about my conditions and the treatments available. not to mention that if one or both of those fail then there really isn't any other treatments available besides experimental shit like ketamine.

From what little i know about this I've heard that while SSRIs can be effective they often have harsh sides for many users. Same with anti psychotics. Truth is if them meds don't work it would probably be best to not take them and look into something else.
