Yes, out of interest and in university. In spite of some positives in the system from a social aspect, I really don't see how living in an artificial economy under Russian hegemony was a good thing.
That isn't to say that the West is much better. They too will fall, but the Soviet system was doomed to fail from the start.

The USSR wasn't an artificial economy, it was based upon material and production. As opposed to a capitalist economy, which is based on an abstract concept. I don't think it was doomed from the start, I think their refusal to reform agriculture is what really doomed it. That said, I don't think it would have actually fallen if political strife had not struck at the same time. Countries have suffered worse depressions than the USSR did and managed to go along just fine. For most countries, what happened to the USSR should have been a bump in the road, but the Soviets had bet everything on their system being infallible, creating an attitude that even a relatively small slip-up meant all was lost.

The Soviet system couldn't work because it couldn't base itself on market values. Efficiency was cast aside in every sector, not only agriculture. The nice thing about the Soviet system is that everybody got to work. That was also part of its downfall. It was a system bloated with too many workers using outdated equipment. It couldn't compete.
This is a thread about the Baltics though. The Russians fucked them hard and still act like niggers over there to this day. I've never seen such rude, self-entitled people like Russians in the Baltics. I've met a few nice ones, but they're really nigger-tier in general.
I'm fascinated by Baltic culture and history, so I'd love to visit one day.

Never been to Lithuania.
Been to Riga (but not anywhere else in Latvia). Women are the most beautiful in the world. Even fucking 6 year olds are tarted up in tiny skirts and high heels and make-up. I guess they start training them young to care only about their looks.
Tartu in Estonia is one of my favourite places on Earth. Everyone is super chill and friendly. I think stress doesn't exist there.
Tourist trap in the centre of Tallinn is garbage, though. It's like Disneyland without the fun.
