It was one of the resident's birthdays, his family came to celebrate and had dinner, but the interactions they shared were very shallow. They shouldn't have had me in the first place because they were way too poor for a fourth kid, so I had a pretty shitty childhood and still sort of resent them for having me. When you get old the only thing that matters is your family, there are so many old people in there that were doctors, hotshot lawyers/politicians, millionaires etc. - Now they're old and are thrown into a retirement home and no one gives a fuck anymore, there is such a difference in overall mood/happiness and physical wellbeing between the ones that had family who would visit them and those that didn't. The 2 biggest regrets that the old people had were either
