I'm too lazy. I learned kana a few years ago but I just can't be arsed to learn grammar and kanji.
I speak English, German and Russian. Why would I want to learn the weeb language?

I can read it with a kanji search on hand.
I can't speak it because I don't even have anyone with whom to speak in English.
I can speak, read, and write a little Mandarin though, and I started learning that at 18. Mandarin is easier than Japanese IMHO, especially for grammar.
I learned quite a lot and could read manga then I gave up because I almost killed myself, now I think I'm too depressed to really learn anything.
not saying that in a whiney way, just is the truth.
A. I know no Japanese people.
B. I have no interest in visiting Japan.
C. I don't particularly follow Japanese culture.
D. Japanese is one of the hardest languages to learn.
E. I would sooner focus on a language like French, Spanish or Mandarin (which may have actual use) than Japanese.
