Literally kill yourself. I've been dealing with really fucking bad insomnia for years. I literally spend all of my time exercising and then taking an abundance of sleeping pills and alcohol so I can pass out for 6 hours and wake up to drink a liter of water, run, more water, drink some smoothie I made the day before, and then going to work for 8 hours. I usually spend an hour or two a night shitposting or watching some random show but it's fucking hell man. No doctor has ever helped and literally nothing has made it better.

Listen to this guy. For about 5 years, I just accepted that I wasn't going to get anymore than 4 hours of sleep a night. It took talking to someone to realize there was an underlying issue that needed to be addressed. Insomnia rarely presents without a cause.

You'll need to be awake for around 16-18 hours before your body and mind are ready for sleep, completely cut out caffeine past being awake 4-6~ hours (if you smoke, don't smoke anymore before 2-3 hours before bedtime) and seriously turn down brightness very far or use an add-on like Flux when the sun goes down so you're not staring into a bright ass light all night. Also turn off the vidya / anime a few hours before sleep too, anything that's interactive or images that move really fast are gonna wire you more awake

Boy, I drink a cup of coffee at 6 am every day, go for a run, work during the week, come home, vidya and anime till 7, read untill 10 or 11, and then I spend the next 4 hours trying to sleep. Actual insomnia ain't this meme shit where people play too much cod and can't get their 9 hours; it's fucking hell on earth and is painful. That's like saying to someone with real depression to stop making themselves unhappy. A meme is a meme but a minority of the group is usually sincere.

I've been to doctors aplenty and nobody has been able to help. I've tried almost everything I could and nothing has worked. Unless I'm depressed or some shit and in denial I have no clue what it could be.

I've tried everything from basic stuff like melatonin too drinking/smoking untill I pass out but nothing seems to actually do anything. Drugs cause me to get even worse quality of sleep and nothing else does anything but make me feel more tired. I did try getting on a polyphasic sleep cycle but I would still spend an hour or two laying there so it netted me more wasted time than sleep gained. Plus it's nigh impossible to have a job while doing it.

melatonin and other natural sleep aids are shit. nyquil in pill or liquid form makes me twitchy and more awake than if i hadn't tried anything. motrin PM is my solution and it has been working pretty well. I take 800mg a night when I lay down. takes about an hour to set in but i tend to drift off pretty consistently. Before i discovered motrin pm i needed to drink a shit ton of booze to sleep. I believe the ibuprofen and the sleep aid give your body the perfect combination of comfort feels to fall asleep. worked for me, so I recommend if you haven't tried it give it a shot.

that's pretty unhealthy if you're doing it every night, the ibuprofen will wreak havoc on your stomach lining and liver and the DPH just is plain not good for you if you're dependent on it~ definite moderation is needed with that method

Have you tried ASMR videos? I'll admit I don't like them but a few years ago when I found them they helped me come off all sleeping meds I was using (1 prescription, melatonin and tylenol pm/DPH). Unfortunately the sensation stopped working for me a while back but they helped tons as far as easing my mind and getting me to relax goes

Why do people fucking pay so much for these combination medicines? Look at the back of the bottle and see which drug you actually need. Motrin PM is just ibuprofen and DPH. Ibuprofen's not doing anything for you, it's just gonna give you a belly ache. Get some store-brand DPH instead and stop fucking killing your stomach for no reason. Nyquil keeps you up because it's got DXM in it. Just get Nyquil's sedative component, doxylamine. For Nyquil's price, you should get enough store-brand doxylamine to knock you out for months.

Fucking hell, everyone does this too. I know so many fucking people who get Nyquil to help them sleep. These products aren't some magic potions, take fifteen seconds to familiarize yourself with the active ingredients and what they do.
