Is there a way to slow time perception down?

Now imagine your father, who presumably was born in the 50s. In the 70s, he was experiencing the same thing you are...but time just kept going and going, and now it's 2016. This perception just makes me respect old people a lot more, to think they already saw so much change happen in the world, to an extent that i can't even fathom. Things that were part of their childhood become completely irrelevant to you and your generation, just like the things you experienced in your childhood will be irrelevant to your kids.

That sort of change is slowing down though.
going with computers as an example, in the 1930s they were practically nonexistant, just like a series of tubes and lights and punch cards. In the 1950s you have the first proper computers like UNIVAC but they're still mostly used for hypothetical uses. By the 1970s computers have spread through all sorts of industries and have many uses, including space travel. In the 1990s they start to become common household appliances along with internet. Now in the 2010s they're so incredibly commonplace that trying to live without them would almost be like trying to go back to the stone age.
On the other hand, go back a generation to the 1910s and tell them that you have a device that fits in one hand and lets you do things like take full-color video and buy things from across the world, they'll think that you're a wizard.
You're going to be 30 soon.

I didn't even know, that's actually very interesting but at the same time sad. I remember watching TV and news during that time and everyone was freaking out. To be honest I kind of feel nostalgic and miss how hopeless everyone was.
