If you want good thing or a better life. You have to do something to get them. You aren't going to get a girlfriend or get rich by doing nothing.
But your life is good. You have hot running water, internet and a computer, and most likely aren't a starving skelly. You likely have your health and a full set of working limbs and the freedom to do most anything.
