There is no "you" in that sense. Arguably there is some sort of core personality but that doesn't mean that you cannot get fit and so on without "faking". Identifying with and holding onto some sort of victim-mentality makes nobody happy.

The normalfag advice of "fake it until you make it" is old and grating but it's also true to a large extent.
>>
Lifting isn't the hard work. Lifting is God's gift to anger management/stress relief. Lifting lets you exert yourself without anything holding you back. Lifting reminds you what it feels like to have a physical body, what animalistic power you can achieve.

Steroids aren't some magical "easy-mode" enabling drug.

You actually have to workout even harder and longer to see significant results.

People who justify using them are usually insecure meatheads anyways.

Except women don't (and won't) like you for you, they want what society tells them they should have. You don't need to be buff like the guy in order to find pussy, but you can't be some drooling slob that sits on his ass all day.

It's basically on par with lanklets bragging to manlets about how they can score pussy to easily. Women don't give two shits about the person they're fucking - they don't care about their needs, feelings, etc. they only care about the visual aspect of the person and how other people perceive said person. Women tells society they need a tall man, so they go after tall men. Society also tells women not to settle for losers like you, so I guess you're fucked.
>>
>>27229765
Actually a study showed that "steroids" build more muscle together with no exercise, than no steroids coupled with vigorous exercise.

>>27229822
The whole "compensating" thing is a sort of insult produced by the intimidation that the person feels because of your fit body or career etc. Essentially they sense that you are making an effort to improve your status and they try to instinctively hamper your progress for their own gain. Steroids are LITERALLY magic. In some test, the group who only does steroids without exercise were exceeding muscle built compared to those exercising withouts steroids by more than double. >>27231127
It takes 20x more effort to be a mediocre lifter than it does to be a mediocre artist. And no one can compare if a amazing lifter or an amazing artist works harder, since they require totally different things. But all you supposed intellectuals reading or learning an instrument or a craft for self-improve will never actually know what it means to push yourself. You never have to push yourself to get better in those things, they just happen by doing it. With lifting, the more you break your records the harder it gets to break it again.
>>
>>27231175
Sure, if you are retarded or just have the worst genetics ever. The only steroid you need is testosterone, which is perfectly safe if you know what you are doing. There are some unavoidable, unwanted side effects like hair growth, smaller balls and lowered fertility, but all except the hair growth reverse naturally once you are off the cycle, and hair growth is simple to remove via lasers. Oh, unless you are a women, in which case test fucks your body up good and you can never completely recover.
>>
>>27231255
>20x more effort to be a mediocre lifter than it does to be a mediocre artist
How? Lifting requires picking up weight, putting weight down, and repetition. That and time. Art and academics takes time, effort, creativity, and overcoming a massive learning curve.

>all you supposed intellectuals
Fear of anything that requires thought. Sounds about right.

>will never actually know what it means to push yourself
Outright lie.

>You never have to push yourself
Another outright lie

>they just happen by doing it
Biggest lie yet. I suppose becoming stronger while lifting and following a diet plan isn't "just happening by doing it"?

Good job, I guess. I replied to your bait.
>>
>>27229822
That's like saying "I'll never be able to afford this ferrari so I might as well drive this shitty 96 nissan sentra with 180,000 miles on it" when in reality you could buy a 2013 jeep
>>
>>27231255
Lets take drawing as an example, before i became mediocre i was drawing 5ish hours everyday a week, and im a fast learner. Are you that dedicated to your lifting? How does lifting take any skill at all? It takes will power, but so does anything else.

In drawing theres always room for improvement, even for the pros, how are they not pushing themselves? If nobody pushed themselves they wouldve stayed scrubs
>>
>>27231374
>Art and academics takes time.
FTFY. Have you ever actually lifted before? Actually tried to push beyond your limit? Even at a beginner level, you can end up collapsed on the floor completely exhausted unable to even do a single rep more because your body literally cannot do any more. Unless you spend literal days practicing an art you will never come close to complete exhaustion. And mediocre artist don't need creativity, they just copy the road laid out by others. There is no effort in walking that path, only a pace decided by talent rather than effort.
>Biggest lie yet. I suppose becoming stronger while lifting and following a diet plan isn't "just happening by doing it"?
100kg never stops being 100kg. It never requires less energy to move (ok slightly as your form and CNS improves during the first stages). Your body gets stronger, you are able to push harder. But if you never push harder, you never lift heavier.
>>
>>27231480
I'm done replying to your bait. Don't get too worked up meathead, all those roids aren't good for your heart.
>>
>>27229138
How many days do you workout? If you're only working out 3 days a week of course you're not seeing anything. I work out every single day for 3 months and i'm seeing noticeable gains everyday. That or you're too hard on yourself. Also eat a lot of protein and shakes after workout etc.
>>
I repeat, working out works. Use to be pudgy pale etc and i've been taking lifting seriously for the last 3 months. Last night friends and I picked up 2 girls on the beach and brought them home for sex/orgy. It works.
>>
>>27231420
>In drawing theres always room for improvement, even for the pros, how are they not pushing themselves?
Because they are never forced to stop, not at the rate any person bar the truly exception work at. You can draw for 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, and run out of "drawing strength". You stop because you get bored, not because you have to. A lifter working out, depending on how hard they are working, from a beginner to a pro, can push themselves to complete exhaustion or even injury within an hour. The truly driven might do that in half the time.
>Lets take drawing as an example, before i became mediocre i was drawing 5ish hours everyday a week, and im a fast learner. Are you that dedicated to your lifting? How does lifting take any skill at all? It takes will power, but so does anything else.
My lifting is usually 4-6 hours a week, 4x 1.5 hours sessions a week. During cuts it goes down about half but is replaced by an equal amount of cardio. It doesn't particularly take skill, but in that way is equal to all (barring stuff like genetic disorders or injury or disease n stuff). Anything that one person knows can easily be learnt by anyone else. and it takes more willpower than any non-physical activity bar none. See above for reasons.
>>
>>27231480

Hello, I do both (actually art is how I make a living), lifting is not remotely close to being as difficult as perfecting an art. For the last year I've just been brainlessly following rippletoe and the year before that I was doing calisthenics in my bedroom. There is no comparison. The only common factor is that you have to be dedicated.
>>
>>27230317

I honestly have no desire to be a swole musclefrog, I would feel incredibly uncomfortable in my own skin and it would make my condition worse if anything.
>>

you can save up for a power rack, barbell and weights, unless you are literally slum tier poor. in which case you have bigger problems
>>
>>27231619
Clearly youre just speaking of physical effort.
Anyone can put out their best physical effort, when youre completely exhausted you cant continue and take a break.
Youre saying that no artform take nearly as much effort as lifting, not taking into account knowledge, mental exhaustion, time, techniques, muscle memory, thinking, concentration, creativity etc

Bro... LITERALLY no one in the gym will give a FUG.

Everyone is too busy concentrating on themselves- they don't have the time or feel the need to drop everything they're doing and bully you for being skinny.

Also, making fun of a fat or weak/ skinny guy at the gym is the same as making fun of a homeless guy at the job centre. It doesn't make sense to make fun of someone obviously in an environment to improve themselves.

If anything, it will be a positive experience. Most lifting bros will spot you, give you advice, converse etc if they can tell you are genuine.

The gym feel is one of the only feels in my life right now that makes me content. It's not even a meme- people are genuinely nicer at the gym. And even if you don't want to socialise, nobody will bother you if you look weak, so don't worry.
