I'm the one who posted it. I posted it on /v/. Look at the monitor and notice I have 4chan open.
Back then I used to have my browser taking up about 2/3rds of the screen and my IRC client taking up the other 1/3rd.
The keyboard is missing some keys because it was a Gateway 2000 keyboard which had a retarded 8 way cursor key setup, but you could also rebind keys, so I just kept the up, left, down and right keys and rebound them to resemble a normal keyboard.
Also notice how in both rooms the sockets are half way up the wall. That's because my house is a bilevel house with the bottom level halfway underground.
But really, the mattress should be the most obvious link between both images. Unless you think I just happened to buy the exact same mattress as someone else with a messy room.

Messy rooms are ultimate comfy. They feel like an animal's den to me. Unlike those spotless rooms they feel like a space that someone actually lives in. It's funny, my coworkers all have clean homes and trashed work space but I'm the reverse. A work space needs to be clean for function, because you're doing work. A living space can be as messy as you want because it's just a place to be comfy and do what you like.
I'd post mine but people don't believe it's real... I've got trash piles (plural) and stacks (plural) or empty beer cases up to the ceiling. Plus piles of months old unwashed clothes and dishes that I cycle between using the least filthy ones.
