"Peruse" means to read very closely. In the context you used, you were looking for a word more between it and "skim."
To "peer review" something is just to review something for your peers. As a noun, it simply refers to works that have been peer-reviewed. The context in which you used it made no sense. It would have made more sense to say something like "I'm looking forward to your thesis" or something like that.
