I did for a few years. Was great at first but then he stopped taking his medicine, smoking too much weed, and he stole money from me so I broke up with him.

There are a few reasons I like masks.
One is that it allows a person to replace their face with art, which as a wider variety of options than faces.
Another is more philosophical I guess and has to do with the idea of identity. People normally have our identity tied to our faces, and it means that we are not always free to do what we like. I like when fictional characters wear masks in order to get around this so that they can do whatever they please. It's also the same reason I enjoy the anonymity of 4chan.
The other reasin is that I'm a diagnosed autist and faces are intimidating and an unmoving proxy face is not.

I'm not into LOTR type orcs, more the WoW and TES kind. I like warrior types and people who place a high value on honor. I'm drawn to tribal/warlike cultural stuff, gets my little gymrat/bushcrafter heart a-flutter. Orc chicks were actually my gateway, because in TES they are generally more intelligent than their male counterparts. WoW orcs became god-tier for me because they had those honor ideals, weren't mentally deficient, and could dig earthy religious stuff.

Yes, one of my favorite artists happens to sculpt masks and I own a few. There isn't much of a market out there for masks created with art in mind but no heavy cultural ties though. For instance, I love the art of a lot of Coast Salish masks but owning one would not sit right with me because I am not Coast Salish and I know that much of their cultural significance would be lost on me.
I prefer when other people wear masks for fetish reasons, though. What I have is just for art reasons.

Ahh, this makes more sense. I tend to think of the LotR and DnD orcs when I think of them and habitually characterize them as stupid rather than the more close-to-nature honorable types.
