Youtube doesn't pay you for subs. They pay you for views. Even then you have to make the video about 10 min. and it has to be watched for at least half to count as a view for them to pay.

Youtube got tired of people using click bait thumnails and titles. So they pay based on views and length people watched of a video. In other words if 10 millions people watched 1 min. of a video. Youtube isn't paying you for it. According to the youtube red contract. Your videos also have to be between 10-15 mins.
