I also think victims should not be required to flee before making a stand. Currently, if some jackass just walked up to you on the street and started attacking you, you'd be required to run away, assuming there was any safe place to run to. Not sure if trolling or not, but in the US if you are found guilty in a "fair trial" and sentenced, then later proof that you are innocent surfaces, you do not have to be given a retrial. Even if you're on death row or serving a life sentence you only have the "right to a fair trial" and once you get one that's it.
