I use about a quarter of the whole website on a regular basis, including the currently "infamous/misanthropic/loser" boards of r9k, pol, and trash. Like most 4chan users, I cut my teeth on /b/ but 'grew out of it' insofar as I don't use it regularly anymore. I unironically want Donald Trump to win the presidency.
As a bisexual degenerate, I also use most of the porn boards on a regular basis. My preferred stuff is /d/ and /gif/, but I might look at /h/, /hm/ and/or /y/ every so often to mix it up. This reminds me, I haven't used the 'hardcore' board in a while, I wonder if it still exists. Due to the above I even use /lgbt/ sometimes.
Furthermore, my education involved both the sciences and the humanities, so for personal interest and for slightly more elevated discourse, I like lit, his and sci. And yet despite this I've taken an interest in the pseudoscientific occult, and I just plain like spooky images, so I even use /x/ these days.
Among blue boards, I particularly like and use /tv/ and /int/. int has taught me much about all the other awful people in the world, and where they live.
So as you can see, as an all-around educated reprobate and terrible person, I actually use much of 4chan, to masturbate, inform (news links/things I didn't know before), and entertain. But the question remains: since I actually like and use all these terrible/gay/racist/satanic boards, what's left to dislike?
Probably some of the more boring, general interest 'blue' boards that I don't use. stuff like fashion, fit, auto, biz, that type of thing. And even then, I want to say I've posted on each one at least once.

/pol/ is valuable as a place to pick up impolite/non-PC/alt-right sorts of ideas, and as a place where realtalk and actual free speech may (often) be exercised. In that sense it's been important for teenagers who spent their formative years watching CNN, or reading buzzfeed, or whatever "polite" media narratives kids use to start learning about the world these days (some thing on their phones, I'm sure).
Having said that, all memes aside, the average /pol/ user isn't that bright. I honestly think that the average /r9k/ user is smarter nowadays, though you can periodically find exceptional work on any board. /pol/ has more of a '/b/' atmosphere due to the Trump meme, than even /r9k/ does (we are here, by definition, low-energy).
