My family are from Madagascar so I'm not really African, I'm Malagasy which is like a mix between African and SE Asian.

Like there are still huge issues with the more developed African nations but they're able to look at the massive issues that Europe faces through historical division and America faces because of it's founding on moon-beam ideals and are working to avoid them. Progress is slow, but progress has always been slow through different times in history.
The one thing i can say is that improvements are being made.
Grant it, it wouldn't be over in 10, 20, or even 100 years. But soon most people will have an adequate living standards.

Most African countries gained independence about 50 years ago, had civil wars because of the power vacuum, and are now starting to settle, recover and establish legitimate governments with stable economies.
