ITT:
Robots post their time ribbons.
Come on, I know I can't be the only one who has this. There's one for the week, too, but fuck paint, I'm lazy and this took long enough.
>>27173920
what the fuck is this
what is it
please explain what this is OP
EXPLAIN YOURSELF!
>original comment
>>27173920
why did you post this what the fuck is a time ribbon
>>27173920
Take notes faggots this is what a good post looks like
Your time ribbon looks a lot like the one I have for numbers.
My time ribbon completely changes structure in August for some reason.
don't worry OP, I understand you
>>27173920
pls explain
origonaru commentaru
>actually wasted 3 seconds to google this
nice meme, faggots
What are these? Google doesn't help. What sort of turbo autism is this?
>>27173920
this looks like something charlie would make and pretend it's a thing
>>27175137
Bonus: here's the closest I can make my numbers in reality. The 30-50 area isn't exactly right but I just let it be for simplicity's sake.
>>27173920
>>27175146
>backwards and/or upside down
>not 3D
Disgusting. I have one in my head, I need to learn some 3D Shit..
My number ribbon.
Oh god somebody please explain I'm so lost

Holy fuck, the thread went from dead to this over the course of a walk.

Basically, some people see time. I guess some folks have wheels or loops. Mine's a ribbon.
>>27175204
It's literally turbo-autism in my case.
>>27175137
>>27175146
These guys get it. Weird how those summer months seem to elongate and curve.
>>27175329
>>27175245
That's fucking cool. Jelly of the math-thetes. You guys have anything else?
>The 30-50 area isn't exactly right but I just let it be for simplicity's sake.
Hard to actually translate this stuff into images sometimes, right?
>>27175405
Yup.
Bonus:
Here's how I see speech.
>>27175468
You don't "see" Shit Op. You guys are just run of the mill really bad artists, that's it.
That's actually it.
Kind of looks like a turd but we
>>27175517
NUMBER TURD
>>27175468
Woah I've never even thought about how I visualize speech.
It's only ever been time and numbers.
Here's a week for me though, it's super straightforward compared to how I see other things. This is just if I'm thinking of a week by itself though, weeks inside of the months on >>27175137 each look different. It would take a while to draw an example, if this thread lives in a few hours I might can do one month.
Oh hey synesthesia general.
is this a form of synesthesia or something?
I mean when I visualize the months I just see it as a linear timeline that wraps back to the beginning after 12
I don't really get how numbers on a 1-d scale end up mapping to arbitrary 2d coordinates
Jesus Christ, OP. If you're going the samefag, the least you could do is switch up your filename schemes. I didn't even need to pick apart the similarities in your handwriting samples in all of these.
>>27175468
Oh thats kinda cool, i never thought to draw out perceived time like that. Ill have to keep one from now on
Literally thought I was the only one who did this. Mine's kinda boring, the transitional seasons are in the corners, it just feels right.
>>27175507
I see it clear as day, anon.
>>27175517
>that lonely blue 6
>>27175552
Now I'm beginning to wonder why Saturday and Sunday always seem to be different from weekdays in these. Longer, even.
>Woah I've never even thought about how I visualize speech.
Shit's neat. People call it ticker-tape, but it really reminds me more of a Zelda dialogue box.
>>27175594
B-but I'm not samefagging....
>>27175571
I'm pretty sure it is.
>>27175570
I'd love it if that's what this becomes.
>>27175595
This is the first time I bothered drawing it. It sorta just displays. I don't even buy calendars.
>>27175687
Having this at all is pretty neat, meng. Funny how January's centered, though.
contributing my autism
Am I the autism God yet?
my birthday is in august, maybe that's why it looks like that
I'm worried I might out myself as the biggest autist in this thread. My time ribbon doesn't have a "fixed camera" I guess. My view of the ribbon moves depending on what I'm looking at. I didnt want to take the time to actually animate it, so I did this instead.
>>27176658
>3D presentation is just a 2D representation with skewed basis
>because they move linearly like the X axis
You have to move the months on the Z axis in a way that adds additional information to your system.
Or maybe I'm not understanding your majesty autismo
>tfw this thread made me realise I don't think ever
like, when someone tells me to visualise something, I can don't think about the object but somehow still get the concept/idea
am I a walking vegetable? I like to think I'm a pretty smart guy but this is pretty spooky in any case
>>27173920
Time doesn't exist you retards
>>27177083
No its not like that for me either. Things aren't visual unless I force them to. Sometimes I think with words but that's usually just when I fantasize about discussions. I do have a fair bit of dialogue with my talk show audience. Generally that's where I have most of my visualization. That and when listening to music (halls of the mountain king for instance).
I could label it but it doesn't really matter what goes where
It seems like this is examples of ideasthesia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideasthesia
Very interesting.
Note: All boxes should be in equal length, with february slightly smaller.
The time flip is basically in my head the months flip after may, and basically the rest of the year curves on top of each other. In my head, it isn't seen as upside down but rather as if it is coming down on a curve or a ramp, I cannot mentally picture what it looks like if the next 7 months were above the previous 5 months.
Does anyone here feel numbers? Like, if I think of a certain number it has a certain feeling attached to it? For example, 4 is very solid but lacks the creativity and flexibility of 5, but 6 gets a little heavy and is a bit more rigid, which can be a good thing depending on the situation.
I'm pretty good at math, and half of it to me is because I can feel if something is a proper answer, or makes sense with the rest of the numbers. It's like I can look at it in my gut determine if it is right or not, without having to think too much about the process behind it.
>>27175884
Yeah our seasons are pretty fucked, January is like the middle of winter
>>27177282
I'm the same way. 5 especially is the most satisfying number to me
>>27177358
Oh god, 5 is great. By far one of my favourite numbers. You can just do so many things with it, it's incredibly satisfying.
>>27176056
Okay, I kek'd. Hard.
>>27176967
Super neato.
>>27177202
Clever. I see whatcha did there.
>>27177282
Not numbers. Those just have colors. Functions and equations. I feel them in my hands. Kinda sounds like you've got something tactile goin' on, too.
>>27177209
Okay, that's kinda unusual.
>>27177083
You're not a vegetable just because you don't have crossed wiring.
>>27177179
This. Not the only "I don't visualize" post I've seen. You're fine, man.
>>27176805
It's also red. Interesting. Is that because it's an A month or because it's your birthday?
>>27177000
It wouldn't work to try to move months or add an axis. This kinda thing is involuntary. If he tried to build a new one or alter it, it'd make no difference.
Thank you OP for making this thread, one of the best I have seen in a while on this shitty board.
>>27175468
Still not exactly sure. It's how long you see the day as being? As in, boring days = longer = higher?
Is this like how you visualize the months? Like when you're thinking about March you see that part of the ribbon?
>>27177000
I agree that the Z axis is useless (although it makes the presentation aesthetically more pleasing in my opinion), but I can't control it like >>27177502 said.
Pic related is how I see years. When I think about a year, I get a nice zoom effect as the camera moves there. This animation or effect isn't included in the pic.
>>27177967
It's gotta be something like that.
>>27177598
Glad my shitty paint drawing was worth something.
>>27178855
Huh. That's neat. My years don't have animation, or an axis of depth.
>>27178823
Pretty much. The view basically moves along the ribbon with time's passage, and if I hear somebody mention a month or tell me a date, it sorta zooms in on that section. The whole ribbon's always there, but it's not always the focus.
Wednesdays are supposed to be wet, it should always rain on a Wednesday and end on a Thursday, which is the best day of the week not including the weekend.
>>27173920
What's the thing circled in red?
>>27179115
Me. Top-down. Aerial view.
>>27179214
Are you looking at August (and maybe early September)?
>>27177502
not him, but it's fucking HOT in august
my birthday is in august too and i see it in a similar shade because of the heat i think
>>27179380
In the pic, yeah.
>>27179392
That makes sense. Seem to be a lot of reds and yellows in the summer.
>>27173920
I want to make one. I don't see the months as anything. How screwed am I?
>>27173920
worst thread in a long time wtf is that shitty drawing
Do any of you have this with letters and/or numbers?
I'm thinking of contributing with a longer post and image(s) later, for now this post may work as a bump.
>>27180163
I have the alphabet arranged in sort of a U shape
ABCDEFGHIJK
L
M
N
O
P
ZYXWVUTSRQ
>>27179506
Not screwed at all. It's just a brain idiosyncrasy some folks have.
>>27179636
I'll go commit sudopukku.
>>27180163
Yeah, actually. All together, I have letters (and the words starting with or containing them) as being colored, I see text when people talk, numbers have colors like letters, I experience sound as touch and feeling and motion and depth and emotion, I have the time ribbon thing, and concepts like math and languages are really tactile and spatial. I also have some visual inputs that are as agonizing as certain sounds (fuck whistling), but I don't know if how vision can produce misophonia, so I'm not sure what's up with that. The months have colors, too, obviously.
>>27180311
That's actually pretty neat. Like three orderly sections of the alphabet.
>>27176967
Like this guy, I have different angles depending on where I am looking, but also do have a big picture.
I also have a ribbon for numbers and the alphabet, had never really thought about it until this thread.
I don't visualise things like this
I feel dumb now :(
>>27180715
Don't. No need.
At the end of the day, we're all browsing /r9k/.
>my time ribbon is just a straight line
WHY AM I SO NORMIE
REEEEE
