I bought "The Essence of Buddhism", "Siddhartha.", and
"What the Buddha Taught: Revised and Expanded Edition with Texts from Suttas and Dhammapada"

Those are good books. Eckhart Tolle is probably the best spiritual teacher today. For advanced seekers Moojiji is great.

Go to an interdiction seminar for beginners that's what i did. No buddhist will judge you i can tell you that much. Buddhists understand that everyone is on his own specific way and they don't compare themselves like normies do.

The Compass of Zen (ignoring the reincarnation stuff). The Three Pillars of Zen. I also remember enjoying lighter reads like The Universe in a Single Atom, The Way of Solomon, and books of koans like Zen Flesh Zen Bones. Koans are great.
