I am an Australian NEET with anxiety and depression issues.
However, I am starting to get my life back on track.
I've been gone from r9k for a couple of weeks but now I'm back.

It's not much different from usual but I'm feeling a bit more optimistic nowadays, embracing a more positive kind of nihilism.
Started exercising more and eating a bit better.
Trying to learn guitar too. These new anti-depressants have really helped me.
In regards to leaving r9k, you just need to acknowledge how shitty everything is here.
This place is a horrible time-sink and most of the people here are awful or underage.
I let my hatred for the average 4chan user motivate me to stay away.

good point but it works in the opposite way for me pretty much. I feel so much more clever than everyone here that I just can not stop posting because I have nothing else to do. I'm sure I'll get it out of my system at some point tho. I've got some potentially positive changes in my life coming up soon and that should break ip the monotony

Yeah you easily could and probably cheaper through a major airport with a budget airline than via Darwin.
But the question is the prevalence of maritime passenger travel in the top end. Specifically between Australia and Indonesia.
Also, ships are fucking cool. Not the floating rsl cruise ships but a sturdy passenger ferry.
