That's fine. Talking about the meaning of life and human nature and all that covers philosophy of course, as well as sociology and biology and history and other academic studies.
But "talking about philosophy" is complete and utter wank, in my humble opinion anyways.
Because for the most part, abstract concepts, time and space cognition and past regrets are something males dive deep into. So expressing actions or future events in a way that makes people think about their current self is something males find easier than women to do.
Women normal care about the current situation than what is happening in the future, and base what happens in the future on the past.
