Fifty or so years ago two women would have found it hard to sustain a life together. Nowadays, with women working, that is no longer an issue. That also means part of male attractiveness is invalidated. Men aren't the only bread winners anymore.
I have nothing against lesbians personally. But to many men, it is likely a reflection that a woman's "worth" is going up while a man's "worth" is going down.
