Who /meditate/ here?

>wake up
>feel like shit (as usual)
>brain is foggy
>sit and meditate for just six minutes
>afterwards feel rejuvenated, like I just had a good rest

It's really great robots, and you can practice it anywhere. The fruits of meditation also help you to focus and be calm irl, I'd recommend it to anyone considering getting on drugs for ADD/ADHD/executive function or anxiety.

i know its legit.

pretty sure my brain is broken now and it doesnt work.

I don't meditate, but I do deep-breathing and diaphragmatic-breathing. Gets my heart-rate from 72 down to 60. Feels nice. Helps ease sweaty palms, too.
>>
Problem is I fall asleep.

>try to meditate
>basically prolonged sitting
Tell me it's a meme please
>>

It is just sitting, but the goal is to be completely engaged in the sitting and have your mind wander nowhere else.

Yea the meditation I do is following the breath, one usually has to be aware of it to do diaphragmatic breathing so in a way it's like meditation.

I really want to get into it, any guides, videos, or books or something for me to watch?

"Zen mind beginners mind" by shunryu suzuki.

Also any videos on About vippasana or zazen should be fine.

Wow sounds so easy in theory doesn't it

It's not easy, we've become accustomed to neurotic brain chatter that it seems impossible to just "be" instead of having your mind bouncing all over the place.

I try to meditate every day but manage to do it like 3-4 times a week. I am also interested in buddhism and have read quite a fee book about.
Meditation is great but for me the "relief" that comes from it is very temporary. I feel great when I am meditating but I very quickly become anxious again and if I have to be around other people it is almost like I haven't meditate at all.
As far as buddhism goes I can very easily slide to become apathetic and nihilistic otherwise my emotions take full control of me.
I have been interested in buddhism for 5 years or so but actually tried to live like a buddhist for a year sl maybe it's just a beginners struggles.
Still I feel better than I felt before.

I used to do it daily, then weekly, and then I stopped. Still do it occasionally when I'm bored out of my mind.

Meditation is great though, it's the most refreshing thing you can do. Your head just feels "clear".

How many minutes you meditate for?
>>
>>27127150
It really is, you literally don't have to do anything.

I love meditation but I cant do that anymore.
I cant sit in calm, just cant make me feel alright to do that.
and I dont know how to get through it
