If you have Steam then you probably like games to a certain extent. Why not search around some for local game events (you don't have to participate if it's a tourney or some tryhard thing), or even non-shitty chain vidya stores. You might have something cool in your area.
If none of that sounds appealing then I'd make friends with the people here who are offering. Most robots in my experience are nice but pretty shy and afraid of looking like spergs. Or the total opposite and they love being an anime gaylord trap kid. It's all funny imo

I've tried; the only multiplayer games I play don't have a scene here, even Smash. I've had to host tournaments here on my own. I still haven't made any friends from it after doing it for months.

I've added plenty of people from /r9k/. The aforementioned two people both have browsed at one point. It doesn't make me feel less lonely, and usually we rarely click.
