I'm also only marginally better than those I poof on, given that people have spent forever planning with me and then disappear within a half an hour of starting.

Whenever I play with girls, it's always the same: They want some abusive alpha male who will piss down their neckholes during some orc-elf-rape fantasy RP. I'm not kidding you. And the worst part is, when they play their "submissive" role, they just end up being lazy as fuck.

Whenever I play with someone who actually seems to have some idea of what they're doing or is making an effort, I just automatically assume they're male. Though, I'll take one line sentences over those fucks that want multiparagraph iterations that allow almost no interaction whatsoever.

I feel you anon. You really just gotta have that balance. No one-liners, and no walls of fucking text. Because then YOU'RE obligated to hit them back with a wall of text, and it stops being mutually sexy and then just becomes tedious.
Find the nice, visceral detail in the scene, move it along with just enough to keep the other interested. It's a fine line to walk, and one I'm pretty ashamed to say I've walked before.

You've got it just right, anon. Describe what's going on in a way that isn't vapid or pointless; identify interesting bits without going overboard, and keep the play going.
Post limits are the dumbest bullshit. I just respond with what is appropriate given what is happening in the scene. You don't need three fucking paragraphs to describe a character's response to a question, holy FUCK.
Also, fuck every piece of shit that uses the term hues or orbs to describe eyes. It's so sickeningly purple and goofy.
