Is it possible for an LDR to work?
Post stories, successful or not, doesn't matter.

not really. you will most likely end up getting cucked and not even know it.
It only works if you are
In deep denial
Or arent jelous/paranoid
And can give the proper amount of attention to your partner.

I had one for 3 years. I met him on old /r9k/ even. It was meaningful and it worked but since we could only afford to see each other once a year as he lived in Europe and I'm stateside bound, we called it quits. We're still friends of sorts so sometimes talk. He has a blond Scandinavian gf now while a I'm stuck here toturing myself.
I guess if you don't have a set endgame to live with each other and aren't continuously communicating the likelihood of it lasting is slim.

this, the lack of actual physical presence probably makes it feel like it's not a real relationship at all.

So he was a faggot and then was straight?
Sure thing buddy

I think it's implying it's actually a girl.

I'm in one right now and I'm the happiest I've ever been.
Was in an LDR with a dude that always wanted too much and didn't give enough. He ended up cheating on me and that was the end of it.
Currently in an LDR, engaged and moving in together shortly after two years. We visit eachother usually about every 3-4 months

this is a fucking trainwreck waiting to happen if I've ever seen one.

I'll make a thread about it when things inevitably go down, one day famango
cheated on me and is in love with someone else
claimed he was a robot but had friends and kissed a girl before kek
ldrs suck in general tho so don't do it
I could see it working with two completely autismal loners, sure. It's easy, safe, and impossible to get to close.
If you want one with a normal person, no. Eventually one party is not going to be able to deal with the lack of intimacy.
