I run into this in practice all the time. People become extremely confused even when I contradict my own opinions vocally. It is confusing for them because they think that being friendly towards me means agreeing with anything I say. They play the "i'm stupid and dont understand thinking like that" card, whenever this happens.
I think it is because they are just so used to it and don't know any better.
I wish that autists at least got some sort of hiring or scholarship benefits since we could actually need them. We can't network like the normies can.
People who are actually liberal do, though. Look at the Scandinavian model. Places like Sweden and Norway have really comprehensive benefits systems and people arent shamed for claiming. Good mental health services, good education and socialising for children (which means that less autists are 'created' in the first place). They see it as a failure of the system, not the person when something goes wrong.
I guess most people on this board are americans, and in america 'liberal' seems to count as anyone who believes that Mexicans shouldnt be shot for crossing the boarder, so you get a warped sense of what 'liberal' is.

If you mean the USA then yeah i agree, you cant just apply the Scandinavian model to a completely different culture and expect it to work the same way. For example, their prisons are generally pretty open, the guards are almost friends with the inmates, inmates can often keep their old jobs etc., but if you opened a prison like that in the USA you dont have the social/cultural climate and history for it to work. People would just leave and not come back
Thus far they've been doing pretty well for integration of the immigrants/refugees, but soon they are going to take on too many and the integration aspect wont be sustainable.
