I don't consider myself an unusually fake person. I am pretty open about my interests, I attend events related to them occasionally, and I don't see any women 'just coming' to me. I suppose it doesn't help that most of my interests have about an 85/15 male/female ratio, but what am I going to do? Pretend to enjoy shit I don't because women happen to be there? That would be, as you say, motivated by 'wanting the relationship,' which would result in me repelling the women around me.
I just don't see it.

The desireable traits I look for are what's inside somebody and how I connect with them, nothing else matters to me, I've convinced myself i was in love with men who were 350 lbs because they seemed like the most beautiful people in the world to me for how they were and how i felt when i talked to them.
