Covington here, like an hour away from New Orleans.

Yeah I've got maybe an hour before the water hits my house.

Actually kind of cool to be honest.

>>
>>27095293

It rained like one day this week, and even then it was only for less than an hour.

You have trashbags
Find tape, right now
Run like a sperg and find your loli drives, precious things etc and throw them in the bag.

When I was a kid, I lived near a creek
Whenever there was too much rainfall, the artificial dam releases water
I had instances waking up with the muddy and polluted water quickly creeping in my bedroom that it was like a nightmare with eyes open
I had to lift my stuff to the 2nd floor to save what can still be saved, sadly most were damaged
One time, the flash flood reached the 2nd floor
No item was spared
I never recovered that childhood trauma 2bh

OP here, update.

So, the water got like probably 4 inches higher and since I'm in Louisiana, guess what else fucking arrived? A nest of WATER MOCCASINS!

So I got a knife and made a makeshift spear in case they get close, since I don't have any guns on me. That's right, I'm going fucking Far Cry Primal IRL.
>>
>>27095598
Shit man, come down top Luling (St charles parish) and you can stay with me for a while till all this shit blows over
>>
>>27095637
Unfortunately can't, streets are so flooded that the water would probably reach my engine. I'm stuck here, with water moccasins roaming the streets freely and at least 3 more feet of water. But WAIT, it gets better!

Thunderstorms for 12-15 MORE FUCKING HOURS AT 2 AM! My house is going to flood, isn't it?
>>
>>27094671
How are the pumps in your basement keeping up with the water? Do you have a handy way to get onto your roof?

Have the sewers backed up yet?
>>
>>27095689
>louisiana
>basement

Sorry anon, we don't have those here. We are literally below sea level, that would be autistic.

Sewers probably have backed up.

No way that I know of to easily get on my roof.

I'm a little scared because someone I know from my classes drowned like four hours ago in the floods, not even kidding

I have a friend up in Dallas and he hasn't gotten anything yet

LA Tech by Shreveport. Shit's pretty bad towards Monroe. Roads and schools are closed. Not too bad here though. Worst of it was Tuesday.

holy shit stay safe anon
>>

Southeastern closed down for the day. For the most part shit isn't too bad here. Half of a road was blocked by police due to flooding but if you have anything taller than a stock height car you're good.
>>
OP here, walked down the street to comfort oneitis who was kind of panicking, and on the way back to my house I stepped over a puddle and almost got my dick bitten by a fucking moccasin.

Louisiana.
>>
>>27095659
wtf, after katrina, i wouldve left that place and never looked back. come to phoenix if your still alive when this is over. jobs at every corner, cheap houses and apartments waiting to be rented due to the high amount of mexicans at every corner

I'm worried for your safety OP, but I have no advice to give because I live in a desert.
Please try to avoid the snakes. I want to see you survive.

bumping with hope of OP coming back

>tfw the worst flood I had to live through was one that couldn't even flood a truck engine (did fuck regular cars though) and completely flooded the highway/subway system
>was on the 18th floor of an apartment so literally zero fear of the water reaching me anyways
RIP OP, hopefully he makes it to the roof alright. If I lived in a flood zone I'd make my attic comfy and set up a small generator in there so I could just sit on my laptop and browse 4chan until the infrastructure went down and I couldn't get internet access anymore.

So what if you die, OP? You'll get to find out what's after death.
