Reuenthal is legit my favorite anime character ever
>>27092711
Hahahahaha mommy issues the board hah
>>27092734The only time I've cried in the last two years was when he died.
>>27092776
Pretty much. That's what happens when the family unit breaks down and you have a bunch of brainwashed single moms trying to raise men.
>>27092734
One of the best written characters with the most depth in anime for sure
Took me a while to understand his motivation for actually being willingly used / set up as traitor
>>27092865tfw had to hold back the tears extremely hard when Yang, Ruenthal, and Kircheis died
literally my favorite show ever fuck it was so good
>>27092909
I feel you on that. It's in my top three for sure, and one of the shows I recommend most to people. It's too bad people are plebs with ADHD who can't watch anything serious or longer than 12 episodes.
As for me I got very emotional at the death toast to democracy of Admirals Bewcock and Wu-Cheng on the bridge. Of course Admiral Yang's bleeding out was even more impactful, but I really liked the old man and his lieutenant.
>be entirely disgusted and disillusioned by anime because modern moe / harem / SOL shit
>discover this show
>discover other glorious 80s / 90s shows and movies like Ghost in the Shell or Evangelion
At this point I am convinced that it's actually not myself, it's the world around me that's legit going to shit

You still have good stuf from the 00s and 10s to watch, dig deeper than the surface level generic shit
>>27092711
I've watched over 150 anime. It's pretty hard to find something good now expect moe shit.
>you will never die for a benevolent Kaiser in a pointless battle he fights purely for his pride
That's how they act on the outside. This is what they're liek on the inside
