>implying the Church didn't compile the Bible
The Bible is a Church tradition, not the other way around. It was compiled on the orders of the Ecumenical Councils (i.e. on the decree of the Church). Before there was the Bible, there was the Church of Jesus Christ.

Dank meme, friendo. The point is that since the church is the one who compiled and canonized scripture, her teachings and traditions are the valid ones, and not just any schmuck with his own 'interpretation of God's will' gets to decide what things mean.
>>
>>27089611
It's already happening man. Comfort of the western world and a liberal zeitgeist have lead more and more people to not take the church and christianity as serious anymore as back then. And with each passing generation that demographic becomes bigger because those parents don't give a fuck about teaching their children about the Bible and exactly those children will especially not give a fuck about teaching their children about the Bible when they become adults. Sure when you ask some guy on the street if he's christian he will say yes, but continue asking him questions about said religion and his answers will only be a wishy washy personal interpretation of what he believes being christian means. Not to mention that many christians don't even follow christian traditions anymore. Hell how many people still go every sunday to the church like they should according to their religion?
The christians who do that definitely are true christians. The rest on the other hand are just closet agnostics.

>16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Church was founded by Jesus Christ and His Apostles, meaning that it also meets the above descriptions. Moreover, what is considered the Bible is the Bible because the Church has traditionally used it.

Matthew 23:35

Jesus Christ rejected the Apocrypha as Scripture.
>>
>>27090890
That is kind of a matter for debate (e.g. born eunuchs), but it has always been pretty explicit that sodomy is a sin.

>so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Explain
>>
>>27090991
Abel was the first martyr in the OT and Zacharia was the last. In Hebrew Canon, Genesis was first and Chronicles last. That contain all the same 39 books. All 12 minor prophets were contained in one book. Jesus referred to the same 39 books, therefore, Jesus rejected the Apocrypha.
>>
The bible, in particular the book of Genesis, is actually great if you read it as a sort of meta-historical account of prehistory.

Like the garden of Eden story, Eve eats the fruit of the tree of knowledge and this condemns her and all women to pain.

Well, the major reason women have such a fucking hard time of childbirth is because humans have disproportionately giant heads. Our knowledge is what makes women feel pain during birth.

Eden in general represents the hunter-gatherer phase of existence, people just gathered fruit, but as populations got denser people figured out how to farm grain. It must have felt like a curse because early agricultural civilizations had far shorter lifespans and far worse nutrition than those still in hunter-gatherer lifestyles. But they created more people and that resulted in more technological advancement. Including 'sin'.

I never got the point of paintings and images that depict people fingering Jesus' wounds to prove they're real. I think just passing your hand over the surface would prove to most, if not all people that a wound is real.

>Shit man, I broke my finger. Bone's sticking out and everything, see?
