I have my own room and bathroom though that no one ever goes in.
My mom found my diapers a few times when I was a teenager, but I've never told her why I was wearing. She also found some of my stuffed animals and a pacifier just a couple of years ago. I did wet the bed a lot more when I was a teen and I still whet the bed even in my 20s. In fact, I just finished washing my sheets because I had an accident last night and wasn't padded.
I think there is definitely a link between extreme anxiety and/or autism and ABDL/Ageplay. That said, I am in no way saying that all or even most ABDLs are on the Spectrum. I am also certainly not saying that most people with extreme Anxiety or ASD are ABDL. But I think there is definitely a significantly higher rate of ASD in the ABDL community and vice versa.
I think that there is also a much larger group of people with ASD, potentially a majority, who are not ABDL, but have little tendencies and like to do things that NTs would consider childish.
There are a plethora of reasons why people are ABDL and it is certainly not fully understood, but I think in my case it has to do with my ASD, my difficult childhood, and my issues with bedwetting.

The thing that did it for me was to pick up two non-NEET hobbies, that is weight lifting and programming, and really dedicate to it. Find something you can do that actually improves/fixes yourself, anime and video games don't qualify.
Took me a year to get better and muster the strength to enroll in an engineering school.
